Tunaville/Roseville Community Walking Tour 

SEPTEMBER 22, 2018

The next Community Walking Tour of 2018 has been scheduled for:  Saturday, September 22nd, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.  This popular tour provides lots of fun and informative highlights about our local history as you stroll throughout our community neighborhood. SYMPOSIUM – Portuguese-American Dancers

OCTOBER 21, 2018 – 12:00-2:00 p.m., ST. AGNES SCHOOL

Learn about the 70-year history of our famous folklore dance group established right here in Point Loma.  Refreshments will be served.  A $10/per person donation would be appreciated.  Please contact with any questions.


Tunaman’s Memorial Ball & Recognition Dinner

NOVEMBER 24, 2018 – Bahia Hotel

Our Recognition Dinner honors those who have consistently provided service and dedication to our Portuguese community. This is a wonderful time for our community to come together to celebrate and congratulate our awardees. This year, our Recognition Dinner will be combined with our Tunaman’s Ball.  It will be a grand event that will pay tribute to all our award recipients.

Tunaman’s Memorial Mass & Ceremony

APRIL 7, 2019

The Tunaman’s Memorial Mass & Ceremony will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2019, 11:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.  Mass will be celebrated at St. Agnes Church (1140 Evergreen Street, San Diego 92106) at 11:00 a.m.; immediately followed by the Ceremony at the Tunaman’s Memorial on Shelter Island.

2019 Festa do Espírito Santo

JUNE 7th, 8th, & 9th   

For 109 years, the Portuguese Community of San Diego has celebrated the Festa do Espírito Santo.  This centuries-old Portuguese tradition honors Queen St. Isabel’s love and devotion to the Holy Spirit. Special events begin on June 7th, and culminate on June 9th – Festa Sunday – with a Parade, Crowning of our Queen and her Royalty, Folclórico dancing, and our famous sopas.  It makes for a very memorable weekend!

FESTA PARADE: Sunday – June 9, 2019.  Parade starts at 10:00 am sharp! Don’t miss it!
