The PORTUGUESE HISTORICAL CENTER will be closed until further notice due to the COVID-19 public health crisis.

We look forward to reopening as soon as we can safely do so.

Hello! Portuguese Historical Center Members

It has been a while since we have sent out a message to our members, and we hope you are all doing well. In spite of our unusual circumstances there is a positive spiritual connection when it comes to our very special Festa do Espírito Santo
“Feast of the Holy Spirit.”

Below is a message from our UPSES President:

In this time of crisis, our communities and culture events have had to be on hold. Coming up at the end of the month, we should have had our Festa. As we all know, that has been moved to next year. However, in the spirit of the Festa and Queen Saint Isabel, the 2020 Festa Family are offering free sopas to our community for pick up at the UPSES Hall on May 31st, Pentecost Sunday.

We ask for your help in getting the word out. Please share the announcement (below) with your family and friends to ensure we help all our community enjoy a little taste of Festa this year. Please note quantities are limited and pre-orders are required.

Thank you all for your help,
Ricardo da Rosa

UPSES President

In addition, for those who have Facebook, please join us in praying the rosary virtually here on United Portuguese SES Inc Facebook live in honor of the Holy Spirit, Queen St. Isabel, and the 2020 Festa.

Rosary Week begins this Sunday, May 24th at 7pm, and will continue each day throughout the week until Pentecost Sunday, May 31st. Let us pray and reach deep in our faith together for continued health, healing, and in thanksgiving for the blessings we have received throughout the year.

We also pray for the special intentions of
Brian & Deborah Dutra, our 2020 Festa Family.

Please spread the word!
